This image was in my head for months. So when it came time to paint it, it was a very fast process. Acrylic dries very fast so it was done in a day. I wanted to convey the movement of the dress and the spinning dancer. I also tried to make the dress look like a flower.

After I saw a post on social media by NASA, I really wanted to paint the earth from outer space. The cities are electrified against the setting sun.
