I saw a picture of this girl on the internet and her eyes haunted my mind. I had to paint her in my own way. Showing the emotion which she instilled in me. Like a ghost with a message from the past. I still get emotional when I look at this piece. So much sadness and suffering. Her story shows that anyone can be a victim of power hungry tyrants. It will happen again and again if we don’t learn from the past.
